Over the weekend, a group of young women put on a great fundraiser hosted by the Keltic Rock in Brampton. With a team of runners, they have signed up to do a 5K in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! With a small idea, 3 Brampton girls took it upon themselves to raise money and awareness past the traditional sponsorship forms.
With an evening filled with activities, the girls partnered with sponsors, donors and entertainers to make this an evening of fun and joy for all who attended. Lucky enough to have the Keltic Rock on bored for the night, they enlisted the help of Salon 247 in downtown Brampton and Il Tocco Magico to do a $10 hair Cut-a-Thon! Raising $130 just from people willing to get a trim for Leukemia & Lymphoma!
They also hosted two local artists Chris Hau and Morning Thieves to put on a wonderful live show! With a silent auction full of goodies including Leafs Tickets, TFC Tickets, Heritage Fish & Chips Gift Cards, Jewelry, Skin Care & Audi Gift Baskets they raised over $400 from the silent auction!
Cupcakes, Photo-booth and a live fashion show for Kustom Kreations by Kassandra ended the night with a bang!
